Sail on Silver Girl

We are safely in our house in Sutton Coldfield - hugged our children, and grandchildren as much as we could get away with, had a prawn curry cooked by our son, together with the rest of the family, except for s-i-l, who is working. Sadly, J had to go back to A&E - looks like her leg has not been healing at all - why oh why did they not put a cast on it to start with?? But here we all are, together again, and warm and fed and loved and very grateful - and very ready for bed.

Have said it before, but after years of being frightened of flying, I can't get over what a privilege it is to sail along above the clouds. The shining sands at Faro; a vividly coloured sunset as we landed in Birmingham - where it was dark, but not cold, and so many people and so many cars, and seems so hectic... The wonderful Cath picked us up from the airport, what a hero she is.
