SILK WORM (MOTH)

A school project my niece is doing.
All wild silk worms are extinct, they only live in captivity and are bred for their ability to produce silk. They only eat mulberry leaves, after about 30 days they spin a cocoon of silk, it usually takes about 3weeks for them to emerge as a moth.As a moth they do not eat or fly, they mate (this one wont) lay eggs and die. One cocoon is made up of a single thread of silk about 900 metres long.
