A Christmas tree with a difference.

A tree made of books? Not so odd really, after all books are paper and paper is made from trees. Just a different form of the same raw material.
This tree was one of hundreds (well, a lot anyway) that we saw at Waddesdon manor where we held an all-day Blipmeet. Meeting at about 11 we gathered at the cafe - had assorted food, a group photo - see Kathy's Blip - (Chantler63), then explored the grounds and stables - a fantastic gingerbread house to see there - then at 2pm into the house itself where every room was decorated with beautiful Christmas trees each with a different material as a theme.  Photography was permitted so we all clicked away. After the house we indulged in 'proper' afternoon tea - lovely dainty savouries and cakes (and a lemon posset to die for), before heading outside again to view the house and surrounding trees lit most beautifully in a sound and light presentation and lots more Christmas trees with lights on. We finally left there at 6.30 when the place closed. A truly fantastic venue for a Blipmeet and thanks to Kathy for organising it. One of those times when one Blip is impossible really - I took 170 images - some were rubbish, some not bad and some I was pleased with - this is just one - I have no Blip extras left but I will put a few more on Facebook.
