Stormcocks on a Sunny Day

I've been selling Christmas Trees at Longshaw again today. It has been very pleasant, as the weather was cold and crisp and sunny - just the way I like it. In addition, there were lots of birds around. on the feeders and also in a lovely Yew Tree, with berries much favoured by Thrushes. A mixed flock of Mistle Thrushes and Fieldfares held sway today and I got some fine views, although we were too busy for me to spend much time watching and taking photos. Stormcock is an old name for the Mistle Thrush. A peeping Fieldfare is in extras.
