Hit the Rojak

After having a 'Hainanese Chicken Pie' (a fusion from when Chinese cooks were employed by the British) for dinner, I went to a night market to have rojak. I've had it before but I've never really understood why it's so popular. It's basically a fruit salad with a thick spicy/sweet sauce containing shrimp paste, then sprinkled with peanuts. I wanted to give it another chance. It's not bad but I'd still rather just have some nice ripe fruit.
