We stocked up with plenty of provisions from M&S and made our way to Blenheim for the Battle Proms. 
This is the fourth year that we have done the Battle Proms but I have to say, we found it slightly disappointing this year. The palace is not at all visible, so it may as well be called 'Battle Proms in any old field'. The tables within the marquee are equipped with lanterns, yet the moment it went dark and we lit the lantern, an 'official' came around and removed the lot! Apparently, when asked why he'd done this, his reply was, 'They get stolen!'
Still, it was lovely to share the day with friends and seeing the Grace Spitfire, always bring a tear to my eye.
