The wild side of Zoe!

About a week ago we watched as Zoe wandered off down the driveway with something large and kinda white in her mouth....we knew immediately it was one of the 2 chickens we have!   Since then we've discovered that the other chicken died....they were both very elderly girls, not producing much in the way of eggs but they were here and we took care of them....well actually Richard was the one who really took care of them!   We suspect that it was just too much for them when the temps went way down about a week ago....i don't think Zoe would suddenly go into the hen house (which she never does!) unless she somehow knew they were dead!   No idea....anyway, for the past 4-5 days she has moved the white one's body from hiding place to hiding place....we have no idea where she put it!   But this morning when i went out for a walk, there it was, on the driveway and she once again got into it!  She wouldn't leave it to come for a walk....i guess you can never take the carnivore out of the domesticated dog!

Very foggy and much milder out there today!
