30th birthday present

Today was a very special occasion for the Friends of the Belair National Park. Our party was to celebrate the 31st birthday of the Friends Group.

It was a double birthday celebration as the Park was 125 years old today. About 60 of us celebrated around the tables laden with beautiful home cooked food. It was a most enjoyable time and various awards for long service were given out.

The photo shows Kat Hill presenting our president Mark Pedler with a specially engraved spade to recognise our 30 years of service by the Friends of the Park - which was actually 30 last year. Kat is the Southern Region Volunteer Services officer from the NRM Board.
