A Lovely Evening

Plenty of sunshine with a cold wind.

Today we went to Roquetas to exchange Christmas cards with our friend who lives there.   She was diagnosed with Cancer in September and it was good to see her looking so well.   She is not one to make a fuss and is just getting on with things.   Having already had two tragic events in her life these last three years, she is truly amazing.

We were about to set off to a Concert at the Theatre in El Ejido when Alan pointed out the sunset... golden.

The Concert  was on behalf of the Red Cross, and taking part were the children of the Private International School, here in Almerimar. (see extra)   A story about a poor child who only has a Flute.    The story unfolded about friendship and sharing at Christmas.   Tiny children came on and danced as only the tiny can, older children danced and then there was singing, some carols we knew, and others not.   It was only for an hour but most entertaining, raising 3,000€ for the Red Cross.

The reason we knew about it is that Alan's Musical Director from the Choir is the music teacher at the school.
