Broken

I didn't know there was an Abstract Thursday until Jane told me.  Just as well because this fits the bill nicely.

This is the new fridge shelf that we ordered yesterday.  It was delivered by DPD this morning but when we opened it there was just a pile of broken glass in the box.   Fortunately Partmaster are replacing it without argument.

Jane suggested Blipping it so I made it more interesting by using cross-polarisation.

If anyone isn't familiar with the technique,  it is achieved by using a white background on a computer screen (most laptops will work although strangely Jane's new iPad doesn't)   You then use a polarising filter on your lens and rotate it to make the background go black.  The stresses in the glass then show up as colours.  It also works well with clear plastic.
