Basking in the morning sunshine

Wonderful to see the blue sky, high puffy clouds and the sunshine.

The chickens sunbathed on the branches of the bare willows. The little grey fluffy hen is our matriarch. She has mothered quite a few chicks over the years but i think her laying days are now over.

Is it officially winter? I hope so as Spring is not too far off now.
