Well it is true, she hit and the wind and rain made sure we noticed but just for a minute.   This is Scotland after all and this kind of thing is normal for us in the winter.  The shortest day has passed and from now on we are looking forward to lighter nights and more daylight.
 
Mrs F and I had a trip up the coast today to see how bad the storm was.  Must admit, for all it was wild I have seen much worse.  Having said that I think the decision not to go to Edinburgh was the right one.  We can always go there another day.
