The Great Hospital, Norwich

The Great Hospital in Norwich has been caring for elderly people without the means to care for themselves since medieval times and continues to do so today.
This is a room in Eagle Ward which accommodated residents until 1979.
The Great Hospital comprises several buildings with the earliest dating back to medieval times and the latest still under construction. There are seven Grade 1 Listed Buildings or structures on the site.
Some of the early buildings, including, the church, Eagle Ward and the cloisters were open to the public a few weeks ago and continue to be open every Friday. It's very well worth a visit.
