Christmas Day & Jet Planes

Merry Christmas to one and all.....ours is all but done and dusted.  What a wonderful day we have had, starting at 6.45 am as per the contract in yesterdays blip!!

Father Christmas parcel opening followed by a special breakfast.  Then Facetime from Townsville, watching Lexi opening her presents, just loved it.  Then our present opening from under our tree.  Happy children, spoilt children.
Dinner prep followed in earnest, and our guests had arrived before I had showered and tidied up.  However, that wasn't a major as all.
Dinner was a success with the hot ham and lamb on the bbq, with roast potatoes, roasted vegetable salad, new potatoes and carrots and a lovely green salad too.
We needed a break after all of that, and this is where the jet planes come into play - Sheryl (lady in black top) made crackers, along with Christmas hats, jokes, scratchie, chocolate there were these planes which we all had to make.....with varying success I might add.  But, lots of fun out on the lawn and being very competitive lot that we are a competition was had.
Dessert followed much later - pavlova, cheesecake, fancy Tiramusu  and berries. Oh, and Christmas pud with custard.

Got cleaned up about 5 pm and quite naturally no tea (supper for you UK-ites) was required.

So lucky to have family and friends with us to celebrate Christmas.

Good night
Rainie
