Cracking ...

A moment of family madness between the turkey and the pudding when we played the snowman-building game in the crackers - a variant on the beetle drive concept. Catriona won - she does well in games of chance - but this is her mum's moment of triumph as she completed her snowman and had her badge photographed.

Our dinner was spectacularly good; it had the effect of consigning me and Mr PB to the sofa with our mouths open. This could, of course, be linked to the four hours' sleep between Midnight Mass and going for the first ferry...
