Hallelujah

Brass quintet and organ at St. Mary's Cathedral, Christmas Day Mass.

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS

An inspiring homily.
“It’s important that Jesus came as a baby, that he was one of us who grew up among us. He didn’t just come to die for us, he came to live with us.”

An assortment of favorite traditional carols.

Portions of Handel’s Messiah throughout the Mass, with the Hallelujah chorus as the recessional. The choir and organ were accompanied by a timpanist and a terrific brass quintet.

For the postlude, a charming bouncy syncopated tune for organ, brass and drums.

Holy Communion, blessings, a hug from Monsignor Pat.

A sunny morning lighting up the stained-glass windows inside and the world outside.
