After 4 weeks of holding a reluctant mother still in order to help her rejected offspring from taking what was rightfully theirs, all we were achieving was getting on her tits. We had had enough of kneeling in shit, she had had enough of entrapment and the lambs had had enough of being kicked. We found a source of powdered sheep's milk which saves the expense, transport and storage of fresh cows' milk plus the additional expense of fortifying cows' milk with human baby formula. The agricultural store also supplies proper feeding bottles for lambs! No more faffing about with tiny bottles with sweet little pictures of butterflies.
