Amazing what you see looking over a bridge parapet

Cycling home I just pulled over and saw this train on the West Somerset Railway (WSR). Points still operated by hand, train stops and mate drops out to alter points, train drives over and mate returns points and walks to catch up train.

This bit of the WSR links Network rail and the private line at Bishops Lydeard. They have built a loop at Norton Fitzwarren to allow them to turn the engines (large turntable now installed at Minehead to achieve same at other end).

Lovely to see mainly volunteers enjoying themselves keeping this lovely railway going.
