A view from Rishton High St. bridge.

After a lovely cosy, homely Christmas Day, I needed some exercise, so wrapped up like an eskimo, and headed along to the High Street to see if any swans were on the canal.
Not much activity, just a lone duck.
I was impressed with the golden morning light, as it threw some interesting colours and sun beams across the canal water.
There was a narrow boat parked up alongside the Canal café.
The temperature was very cold, and there was some hail and a beautiful rainbow just as I was returning home.
Maria has gone to work this morning at Boots, expecting it could be very busy, it being Boxing Day sales.
We intent to venture out to the shops in town in the later afternoon, as I am hoping to buy a pair of good walking shoes.
