Jesus to a Child

As banal as it sounds, every end offers a new beginning. The end of a year so full of endings! And maybe so many new beginnings...

My mum is sat opposite me, an arm length away, her solitude finally given a respite, even if only for a few days.
Each of us has reached a stage where life has fragmented to its basic components and now we have to brave it and assemble the pieces to our own liking and fit. Each on their own. We don't talk about it but I'm sure we both sense the same.

Here's to the next chapters - whatever amazement they may bring.
