The instructions were wrong. "Wind on past the first two or three frames, as they'll have been exposed when loading the film." Could have had my first ever photograph taken of something in focus, and more interesting than the kitchen light, as I discovered several weeks later, after processing... and also after wasting more shots at the start of a couple of other films.

Turned twenty one about a couple of weeks back, and with months and months of savings, along with some cash for my birthday, finally bought my first camera today. Pay day this week also helped - £120.40 this month from an £1,800 p.a. salary. Peanuts really. Could earn the same doing half as many hours behind the bar, of the Wagon Inn! Would prefer working full-time in the likes of there, in many ways...
