There were more people on Bookham Common this morning than there were in the village! There were still frosty pockets amongst the grass, but the sun was shining brightly and the birds were singing. There were dog walkers, also groups of people - hosts and visitors out for their obligatory holiday walk. The extra shows a blue sky behind one of the famous Bookham Common oak trees, said to have been used for building the Elizabethan ships that defeated the Armada.
I went to the village to buy tissues and cough sweets. N and I are both suffering. I just hope we haven't left germs behind with the family
