Juvenile Blackbird.

Went on a camera club outing to Ron McCombe’s wildlife workshop. Ron just sat there chatting and plying us with coffee and biscuits – but the chat included warnings about how the different species were going to behave. I came home with nearly 850 shots to sift through though a lot of them were of perches that birds had recently vacated. Having said that, there were about 80 that I wouldn’t be ashamed to put on blip although there were also a lot of similar images amongst that number. Credit is due to the unassuming Ron for setting up an excellent facility. This one is my personal favourite for accidentally catching the chaffinch in flight, well placed and posed, without cheating in Photoshop; equally remarkable, the picture is uncropped.
