Not the sharpest of starts, oh no. But off we went into town to collect the ladies; we stopped along the way back to do a spot of sale shopping. I managed to Gap hoodies and a pair of trousers for Tom for under £15. 

Then to mine - we did a chicken casserole with mash and roasted sprouts and carrots; then tried to make a dent in yesterday's dessert left overs mountain. 

We hung out, played games, watched TV, chilled mostly. All very amiable. 

We punted them onto a bus around 6; and a slow wander through baths, a late supper and some suitably gentle TV - possibly Wallace & Gromit? 

The sales were not that busy....
