Deserted Village

Visited Imber on Salisbury Plain where there is a deserted village - the village was evacuated in 1943 on the orders of the military - the little church in the village is open a few times during the year - it was very busy on our visit
A few years ago hubby and I had visited the village on a cold winter's day it was minus seven degrees - it was cold!- but amazingly we saw a tiny Gold Crest it looked so fragile in the intense cold but very much alive on the WILD WEST of Salisbury Plain
