Crib Trail Challenge

One of the local orienteers set up a seasonal orienteering event today looking for nativity scenes in churches and shop fronts in Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages. Son R thought this would be a novel way to get a 24 km run in on a day when Mum's cousins were visiting.  The thumbnail is Phoebe, my cousins daughter.  The collage shows all the nativity scenes we ( the girls walking team) found, that I have made for Phoebe to remember her day.  Many churches had opened specially to sign our challenge sheet, offer us refreshments and chat. Son R won although he likely did not spend as much time in the churches as we did, drink as much tea or eat as many biscuits and and missed  our favourite  scene - one with knitted mice  (left of Phoebe) found in a church that had 10 different scenes for us to find. Richard covered 24km found all the churches but only some of the shop fronts. We girls covered 7km , found 7 of the 14 churches but all the shop fronts.  No comments about girls and shopping please!
