Outdoors

There comes a time in every gardeners calendar when the compost heap needs turned over.  Some recommend it as a Boxing Day activity, a sort of gardening equivalent to a long walk.  So today the final vegetable bed was cleared of weeds, the greenhouse emptied of various long dead plants and one compost heap turned.  It was a significant task which awakened some gardening muscles from their winter hibernation.

A strong, sharp shot of an iris seed head eludes me though.  Try again tomorrow.
