Once upon a time

The time being roughly 2000 years ago when a spider got chased away everywhere. Until he weaved his threads into a warm blanket for a cold newborn baby who was born under the star of Bethlehem.

I visited castle Zuylen today, in Utrecht. Interior restored to approximately 18th century when Belle van Zuylen lived there, who was a feminist ahead of her time and a famous Dutch author. A beautiful interior, now enlivened with Christmas decorations.

Our 1,5 hour tour ended in this room where the spider story was read to us. Nice element to this Christmas tour.
