Water's Edge

A much better day for a walk today, after a glorious start (see extra).  Positively mild, and no wind either.  I have had enough of trying to see through a thick layer of salt, so decided to wash the sitting room windows this morning.  It's a thankless task at this time of the year, it never lasts for long, but it is rewarding in the short term!

Carried away, I then decided to cut down some of the dead and drab looking foliage along the front, at the top of the slip, and spotted this curlew feeding in the seaweed at the water's edge.  I watched it for ages.  It was far enough away not to be worried by me or Ollie, and was quite content to just carry on poking about looking for little beasties to eat.  Very relaxing  . . . .
