Holiday Skating

Walking across Boston Common this evening, all the lights strung in the trees looked so pretty and festive.  This is the scene at the Frog Pond -- a wading pool for kiddies in the summer months, it is frozen over during the winter so people can use it as a skating rink.  As you can see, it's a very popular place to come and enjoy.  Tomorrow night, there will be a skating spectacular staged here as part of the city's New Year's Eve celebrations.  I'm sure the place will be mobbed!
