Leaving the past Behind

We are slowly sailing towards the new horizon of 2017, and I chose to symbolize the past we leave behind by portraying the RWR ‘Regens William Rex’ Warship.

Wiki: This majestic (h 410cm × l 452cm × w 205cm) scale model of a 74-Gun ship called the William Rex shows the appearance of a Dutch warship in the late 17th century. It was made in 1698 at the dockyards of Vlissingen (Flushing), where the real warships were also built. These would have been more than twelve times larger than this model. This ship has 74 guns. The model was displayed in the council chamber of the Admiralty of Zeeland in Middelburg and is currently one of the eye catchers in the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum.
