Bye bye 2016

Bye bye 2016.

I don't think you'll be missed.

Politically it's felt like a rather stressful year and the uncertainty of the changes ahead feel rather scary. Work has been busy and I got a promotion which means my title has changed and I'm now a "senior specialist".

Thinking about positives this year include some unexpected travel which I've treasured, opportunities to attend some work related courses which are giving me the chance to practice video interactive guidance. I've had an interesting end to the year, spending time in A and E watching people arrive in ambulances for a few hours on Boxing Day was pretty sobering and made me feel grateful for the good things I have in my life.

i have discovered yoga this year and hope to pursue this in 2017. I am hoping to also pursue a new healthy hobby also (yet to be decided). I have seen my fave band perform live three times in different cities and saw the wonderful James play a great concert. I loved the olympics and Paralympic Games this year. I found a great supplier of beeswax candles and rediscovered joss sticks. I made my first ever nut roast. I discovered Twitter which I think has been a good thing for me politically and yogawise. I bought my first Blythe doll but have not yet realised my photographic ideas for this! I didn't manage to get to a pantomime in the season about to pass but hopefully I will later this year.

Happy New Year!
