And They're Off!

Tony and I are pleasantly shattered!  We were up before light to breakfast and then Tony set off to the wood to finish putting out the remainder of his controls whilst I prepared the food for the social after the event.  Then I was on the bike to register competitors in the carpark at Bingley St Ives.  We had 60+ turn out for what is the annual New Year's Day fun score event.  Competitors had to get as many controls as possible in 45 minutes and they scored extra points for coming back with clothes pegs, choccies and minions!  Those who were back after the 45 minutes, incurred penalty points so it was great fun to see the clock ticking towards finish time and orienteers arriving from all directions at speed.

Afterwards, Tony collected in his controls whilst I pedalled home.  Jenny had done an excellent job of getting the food on and folks arrived with their contributions.  Cuppas were made and the Quiz attempted with varying degrees of success.  Good to have the house full of people.

My blip shows competitors just after Tony had announced the mass start.

Happy New Year everyone!
