A Rainy First Day

Happy New Year to all!  

A cold rainy day, perfect for staying in and catching up on things, and a walk in the woods with the dogs when the rain dwindled into a light drizzle.   

I don’t know if this moss, seen in extras, always blooms in winter, or if the exceptionally warm autumn confused it?
