Pompeii

The main reason fro visiting Naples was to go to Pompeii. So we took the train there - about a 30 min journey from the main station. As you go along the line, you really get to appreciate how much the city is overshadowed by Vesuvius as it looms large.

Pompeii was fantastic. Took us about 5 hours and my feet and legs ached so much by the end, but definitely worth it. This shot is in the Basilica, with the statues being more recent additions. The Basilica are the law courts, where legal deals were done.
