Unexpected result

I have been meaning, for literally years, to blip from this spot. It's often on a cycle ride and sometimes on a run. Today I remembered and instructed JT to stop at the gate in the wall. Except now the gate has gone, so the blip isn't what I planned. However, the gap allowed the light in and a view of the river.

Reminds me of the late, great Leonard Cohen. "There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in."

The lesson for today; take opportunities when you find them, because one day the option won't be there.

Lesson 2: sometimes the alternative might just be better.
