The Ascent

Eight walkers and one dog reached new heights today - climbed Ingleborough - some for the first time - the view at the top - which was snow covered - took in Carnforth - Morecambe Bay - Cumbria - and the Ribblehead Viaduct which looked tiny

After walking along the ridge - it was suggested our descending route could be across the moor - to call in at L's relations farmhouse - think we may have taken a circuitous route - luckily the boggy bits were mostly frozen over

After tea and chat in the large cosy farmhouse kitchen - headed for The Station at Ribblehead for a well deserved meal

This walk will be remembered for not being boring - the scenery stunning - the best of company - and will be ascending to the top position of walks done
