Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Dark

7:00AM here.   It was dark and 33 degrees when we all walked 15 minutes to the island dock where we had left our boat to take the family to the marina.  Only slight wind,.  Fortunately it was dry or everything would have been icy.   Mr. Risk Adverse hates boating in the dark.   So I think I’ll record this with this less than sterling picture of son (lit by my head lamp) trying to illuminate anything in the water ahead of the boat. .. the plus:   I couldn’t believe the iPhone actually took a picture of a star!(it looks much brighter in the photo before blip)—too bad I didn’t try for the big dipper that Fiona pointed out to us about now.  All in all it worked out well, but we don’t intend to do it again :-)    It’s a lot of hassle for a few days —those parents don’t really get to relax like would be nice for them...and there was a better ferry they could get......we had fun tho.

The extra (hurray we get to start over with 100!) is about 2 hours later when we went to retrieve the cart from leaving it at that dock… looking in the same direction into bright bright sun… It never got above 34 degrees tho. (at least where we were).  I spent a delightful day in my studio making progress organizing my new computer and taking a nap in my favorite place.

Edit: added an extra of the family back seat in the way home.... a little tired?
