Adams Peak, Sri Lanka

For me, Adams Peak is ca 2 200 meters high, coming up from the level of 1100 meters, translated into other figures:

5650 steps, 7 kilometers. And 5650 steps back!! A stairway to and from heaven if you like it that way.

We met a local guide who gave us the facts. He should know - tonight was the 1450.th time he was up.....

The whole idea is to catch the sunrise. You attach to the trail 0200 am, sunrise shows hopefully up at 0600 am at the top. And then you go back.

This morning was clouded, couldn´t see the sun. It didn´t matter - I was too exhausted to really care. But I managed to take a couple of blips. In this one you get a glimps of my description above. Tomorrow you get the sight.
