Scott Monument

Mrs F and I left the hotel this morning after a great New Year weekend and headed into Edinburgh for the afternoon.  We parked at Ingliston and hopped onto the new tram to take us into the city.  We spent most of our time wandering around the Christmas Market looking at all the various craft goods on display.

As the weather was clear and sunny we decided to be brave and take a trip on the Ferris Wheel next to the Scott Monument.  The views all around were spectacular with the Fife Coast and the Forth Bridges to the North and West and Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat to the South and East.  We both took loads of pictures but I liked this one with the 60 meter high Star Flyer behind the Scott Monument.

As the Sun went down we had a quick bite to eat before jumping back on the tram to take us back to the car for the drive home.  The end to a perfect weekend.

Couple of Extra pictures today as well, just because I can.
