High tide at dawn

There are notices on the promenades
along Scarborough's Spa warning of
the danger of high seas. Today it was
probably hardly unnecessary as the sea,
whipped up by a string Northerly wind,
had already taken full possession of
the promenade and the succession of
towering waves was a finger wagging
signal, if ever one was needed, to stay
well away.
