Overlooked Beauty

The leathery leafed Viburnum Davidii is so often relegated to parking lot medians or the sides of roads, that we forget how really remarkable these plants are. Tough as nails, dramatic ridged leaves, pretty caps of pink-white flowers and these beautiful red stems with China blue berries. How utterly extraordinary to be able to go out into the garden and see these brilliant branched berries in the dead of winter when night time temperatures are in the teens. It is worth remembering that just because a plant is easy to grow and common that it can also be a stunning asset to the garden!
