Clark's Nutcracker: Molly Hashimoto

A long, intense and productive day of facilitation training. No time for photography!

I stopped at a New Seasons where I saw this woodblock print. It is the cover of Molly Hashimoto's 2017 calendar. I enjoy her art featuring familiar birds and habitats of the northwest United States.

The Clark's Nutcracker was identified by and named after William Clark during the Corps of Discovery's exploration of the Louisiana Territory Purchase  in the early 1800's. The Nutcracker is part of the Corvidae family. Jays, crows, ravens, jackdaws and magpies are also part of this same family.
