Saguaro Sale

Under puffy clouds in a brilliant blue sky, the Farmers Market was full of action. Sagauros were selling for $65 per foot. I purchased a handmade belt and a sack of grapefruit, but no Saguaros.

An example of low-key selling, the Nursery Manager visited with his neighbor. He installs the plants himself.

Each plant has a tag indicating the South side and it is important to replant in the same orientation otherwise the skin will burn. Planting will also include further pruning of the roots. In one year, new roots will have fanned out a distance equal to the height of the saguaro.

They are truly amazing plants and the Arizona State Plant.
