Tranquility

After finishing a series of errands this afternoon, I arrived at Marine Park just in time to watch the sun set and capture this delightful moment.

Tranquility and delight is not what Diana in Portland experienced today, even with all the help Kendall gave her to try to find shelter. Click on the link to read Kendall's description of what homeless people -- 5,000 to 6,000 in that city -- go through to try to obtain the barest necessities of life daily -- water, food, shelter, and access to a toilet.

What's happening in Portland is happening throughout this country. If the United States is the "greatest nation," as some proclaim, why aren't we devoting time, energy, and money to solving this problem?
