Pre Dawn Silk Shot

Amazing how simple these silks look on the drying rack.  However long it takes to do regular wools and wool blends, it can take 4 - 5 times longer to do silk. This is grade A Mulberry silk  that will sell to hand spinners. There are also a couple of camel/silk blends on the left.

One week until shop update day so the  pace has to be stepped up! Lots of dye work today including grey merino, a very fine micron count merino (the finer the micron count the softer the fiber) and a blend of Polwarth wool and Mulberry silk. The actual dye work ends Saturday night. After that I finish up steaming, rinsing, drying and then the long tasks of prepping, chaining, listing begin.
