Train Turntable

It's been a very grey and dull day but we wanted to get out of the house so we did a short walk beside Tanfield Railway which claims to be the world's oldest railway.  Sadly the trains weren't running today.  At the moment they only run on Sunday's but run more frequently during school holidays, in the summer and at Christmas.

We passed this now derelict train turntable on our walk.  I don't know anything about it's history but I'm guessing it is pretty old.
