Visiting da Castle

It's been fairly overcast for the day, but mostly dry and calm.  The afternoon was a bit breezy and cold, and a few showers tonight.

I finally got up and going and headed into Lerwick for some shopping.  Met up with mam, brother Jonny and family at the play park, followed with a walk to Da Street, and then headed for lunch at the Lerwick Hotel.  We enjoyed a walk in Scalloway later, and mam and Elsie popped by for a cuppa.  I had a lazy evening after tea, but finally got some go in me, and headed up to see friends, and then down to see mam too.  Might try a pint later.

After lunch, we all headed out to Scalloway for a walk about the village, grabbed the key to the castle and headed for a look about.  The bairns just love to explore the old castle.  They charged to the dungeons, the kitchens, up to the grand hall, and then they rushed up to the chambers.  Here's Isaiah, Lena and Alex peering down from the chambers, while I was standing in the grand hall.  Taken inside Scalloway Castle.
