Oh, that little face!!

This little chickadee was frozen on my deck...not because of the cold, but because she sensed a predator in the branches above.

Chickadees don't usually photograph very well because their coloring tends to hide their eyes, but she looked right at me and refused to fly until she felt safe.  So I thank her for posing today!
