Memories of Japan

The meeting of the International Confederation of Midwives in 1989, was held in Kobe. There were 8000 midwives from all corners of the world and was very colourful with national dress worn for the opening session and at the Japan night. There were a number of objects, the fan giving details of the event, the Japanese lady was in fact a special wooden tool for taking wax out of the ears. The shoes are genuine shoes and reflected the small feet of Japanese women.
